About Church Admin Toolkit
Church Admin Toolkit exists to make the business side of church easier to run well.
Who is behind it
I'm Glyn Norman. I work as a chief operating officer and executive pastor at a Presbyterian church in Southern California, where my responsibilities include operations, human resources, finance and board relations. I have served in a range of church settings, including Independent Evangelical, Baptist, Christian Church and Presbyterian congregations. I have seen how different governance models work in practice, and how often small churches are left to figure out payroll, policies and meeting rules on their own.
I built this site because the free help available to church administrators is usually a scattered set of PDFs. I wanted calculators, templates and guides that are clear, current and honest about what they can and cannot tell you.
What I am not
I am not a lawyer, CPA or licensed HR professional, and this site is not legal, tax, accounting or employment advice. It is independent. It is not affiliated with my employer, any denomination or any software vendor. When a question involves money, employment law or your church's legal standing, I will tell you to confirm with a qualified professional.
How I keep it accurate
- Tax, payroll and employment facts are checked against official sources such as the IRS and state agencies, and I link to them.
- I flag where rules differ by state or by denomination.
- Every page shows when it was last reviewed. If you spot a mistake, please tell me and I will fix it.
